HAVAÍC has led a US$1.4 million pre-series A investment into international calling app Talk360 in partnership with 4Di Capital, Kalon Venture Partners, 3 Capital, and E4E Africa.
We first joined forces with Talk360 in May 2022 as part of two seed funding rounds worth a combined US$7 million. The latest investment comprises US$1 million from the HAVAÍC African Innovation Fund, our third African-focused find, which finalised its first close with US$15 million in commitments during July 2024.
Founded in 2015, Talk360 connects underserved African communities by creating access to affordable international calls to mobile and landline phones worldwide. It’s a game-changer for Africans with family and friends living abroad and those looking to connect locally. The app counts users in over 190 countries with offices in South Africa, Nigeria, India, and The Netherlands.
The capital injection will drive the company’s goal of connecting seven million people by 2025 while strengthening its journey towards long-term profitability. With the additional funds in place, the company plans to localise into more African languages and establish further local and global partnerships with remittance companies, retailers, and brands.

This marks our fourth investment from the HAVAÍC African Innovation Fund, including new deals with Sportable and RNR App.
